Roles and Responsibilities

1. Power BI Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards that effectively present complex data from various sources, including SAP, MySQL, SQL Server, SAP HANA, and other databases.

2. Data Integration and Backend Connection: Establish secure and efficient connections between Power BI and the backend systems (SAP, MySQL, SQL Server, SAP HANA, etc.) to extract, transform, and load data into Power BI datasets. Ensure the data is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to end-users.

3. Data Modeling and Analysis: Design and implement data models and calculations in Power BI to support business requirements. Perform data analysis and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate them into actionable insights.

4. Report Optimization: Optimize and enhance the performance of existing Power BI reports and dashboards. Identify opportunities to streamline data queries, improve data loading speed, and enhance the overall user experience.

5. Data Governance and Security: Implement data governance practices and security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data. Define and enforce access controls and permissions to safeguard sensitive information.

6. Documentation and Training: Create documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate the adoption and effective usage of Power BI dashboards by end-users. Conduct training sessions and provide support to users to maximize the utilization of Power BI capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience in developing interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, including SAP, MySQL, SQL Server, SAP HANA, etc.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modelling concepts.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with data visualization best practices and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
• Familiarity with data governance and security practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Power BI certification(s).
• Experience with other business intelligence tools and data visualization frameworks.
• Knowledge of SAP reporting tools and modules.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
